well, Bugs Bunny is always heading to Miami Beach so there must be something interesting there. You might wander by Gianni Versace's house. That might be fun to see what the house and gardens are like with regards to over-indulgence and self absorption. There seems to be an art deco district. That might be fun. Oh and I see there are many STARS who reside there. Let's see: Shaquille O'Neal, Rosie O'Donnell, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Madonna!!, Julio Inglesias, Hulk Hogan. Hey, Gianni's place will pale in comparison, I am sure. love, elle
When we went to Miami Beach as kids, we would: ....watch the Jackie Gleason show at the Convention Center, or the fights on Friday nights. ....ride the trams on Lincoln Road. ....have a pastrami on rye at Wolfies. ....try to sneak into the pool at the Fountainbleau. ....play shuffleboard.
I believe it is the Wolfsonian-Florida International University (unless it is the University of Miami, but I don't think so) that has the "The Geneva Window" by Harry Clarke. An exquisite piece of work. -Pippa
