I spoke to Joyce this morning about your woes. I asked if it weren't possible for you to tow the boat to some place where you could find competent and relatively honest workers, but Joyce said that the boat couldn't be moved. But could you consider doing that maybe at some point further along?
Welcome to the world of boat yards! I suspect you will find them similar the world over. Some a little better, some worse. Find the best workers you can, work on it yourself to keep an eye on things and keep your hand on your wallet at all times. You will notice they have their own notion of time too. Right now with the price of diesel and the state of the fishing business most of the honest, sharp, knives have left the draw. Desperate times make desperate people, and well, you are an outsider who when you leave ain't coming back, so... She's looking good though. I like the lines in the water. Are you going to leave the booms off or cut them back as originally planned? How did the hull survey go? You'll want to get interior welding done soon before the "warm" weather comes. 8) - Douglas
