  3. All that's missing from your shack is the stuff that should be in the front yard -- the rusting refrigerator with the door ajar, the B&W TV with the shattered screen and bullet holes in the cabinet and the '56 Chevy Bel Air hulk (no tires) with three wheels up on blocks.

    Perfect. You might want to wander down LA 1 to Grand Isle (assuming it still exists) sometime. The highway follows Bayou Lafourche most of the way. Every ten miles or so, you'd see a car in the bayou; people probably walked away from the wrecks more often than not (soft landings). There used to be a bakery in the little town of Golden Meadow called Dufrene's, which was famous for its cream pastries. Shrimp and crawfish for sale along the way.
