Day 40

Eatons Neck to Greenport, NY
N 41 08.452, W -72 20.142
50 miles, under way 6 hours

Worked our way east along the north shore of Long Island, very pretty with empty beaches and large estates. The wind kicked up and we had to relocate to a more protected spot and still got hammered all night. My fault for not paying attention to the weather forecasts, both Muzz and Marty knew a storm was coming and they live in houses. We were feeling smug about having gotten through NYC and felt relaxed to be in Long Island Sound. Tomorrow we go into Sag Harbor, the best little harbor on Long Island and lay about a few days. We will try to be in Portsmouth for next weekend, weather permitting.
